ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Puppies, senior dogs and all dogs in between are looking for their fur-ever homes at Pooch-A-Palooza.
The event was held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 21 at Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall, 7070 Cherryvale N. Boulevard.
There were dozens of dogs available from Paws Humane Society and Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary.
Tracy Beyer, Marketing Director with Lou Bachrodt, says, “We always want to raise awareness, with Paws and Noah’s Ark here today, it’s great to have multiple options so people can see what dog works best for them.”
People were encouraged to bring their own dogs to meet possible new family members and take advantage of services available at the event.
Activities included a pet photo booth, agility demonstrations, $8 nail trims by Fur on the Fly Mobile Grooming, a showroom with pet supplies, apparel, treats and toys, Taco n’ Madres food truck and giveaways.
“We are all about taking care of the family, and that’s not just the humans, we know that a dog really completes the family, and we have cars for sale and when people come in with their dogs, we love to let the dogs jump in and see if the whole family fits. So, it’s just kinda helping make families complete here,” says Beyer.
The event was free, and all adoptees received a goodie bag. Lou Bachrodt covered all adoption fees for the event.
