In a race against time, Lisa Chiarelli from Frankie, Lola and Friends in California, alongside her friend Karla, committed themselves to save Stormi. Learning of the pregnant dog’s dire situation, they sped to the shelter, arriving just forty-seven minutes before Stormi was to be euthanized.

“The shelter gave this sweet girl till 2:00 today to be rescued. @lisachiarelli and I couldn’t get her out of our heads… We couldn’t let this be the end for her and her babies,” Karla shared on Instagram.

Relief washed over Stormi as she leapt into the safety of her rescuers’ car, sensing a brighter future ahead despite her discomfort from her imminent labor. Karla became her temporary guardian, integrating her into a household bustling with foster dogs. Initially, Stormi was given a quiet space to settle in, with her foster siblings occasionally visiting to sniff and greet her.
