MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO — The Crump Group Inc. announced March 14 plans to invest $85 million in its existing premium dog treat manufacturing facility in Nashville, NC. This follows a more than $40 million investment in 2021 to acquire the plant, as well as the property and equipment.
The expansion “marks a pivotal moment” for the future of the company, which produces Caledon Farms, Crumps’ Naturals and Dog Delights, as it seeks to meet evolving customer needs and its own sustainability goals.
“With heightened customer demand, we stand poised to aggressively expand our operations while maintaining unmatched value to our customers,” said Margot Crump, co-founder and chief executive officer of The Crump Group. “Our ongoing investment across diverse capabilities enables us to deliver innovative solutions with the hallmark quality and adaptability to which our customers have become accustomed.”
The $85 million investment will notably expand The Crump Group’s production capacity in Nashville and will help the company keep its retail partners’ shelves stocked, including those at Costco, PetSmart, Pet Valu, Walmart, Loblaws, Publix and Target.
As part of the expansion, The Crump Group will also implement state-of-the-art technologies to help reduce its environmental footprint from manufacturing.
