It can be hard to find a holiday that checks every single one of your boxes, but it’s now possible for anyone hoping for a child-free, dog-friendly accessible getaway. Prime Tourist Park has opened a newly renovated Accessible Holiday Cottage and they’re ready to welcome guests for a calm and relaxing holiday with their four-legged friend.
Just 300m from the heart of Lakes Entrance in Victoria, Prime Tourist Park is already a popular choice for dog-lovers. The site offers a range of accommodation options, with two cottages (including the all-abilities cottage), two cabins, two on-site vans, and 32 caravan sites, all of which are dog-friendly. There are also five boat-parking sites available for hire for travellers planning to get out on the water.
Prime Tourist Park has a wide range of facilities for guests, including a quiet outdoor area with a swimming pool, communal barbecue areas, a fire pit, camp kitchen, and guest laundry (with a pet-specific washing machine). For your four-legged friend, there is on-site doggy day-care, a coin-operated hydro bath, and an off-leash area with fresh water and toys for playtime.
The new Accessible Holiday Cottage is a much-needed addition to the region’s accommodation offerings, addressing the shortage of accessible options for travellers with disabilities. The two-bedroom cottage is spacious and modern, and fully wheelchair accessible with an open-plan living/kitchen space and roll-in bathroom. Outside, you’ll find a large fully-fenced deck with outdoor seating, and off-street parking. The upgrade project was made possible by the Federal Government’s Caravan Parks Grant Program.

“We wanted to offer a child-free environment where our guests can enjoy quality time together with their pooches,” says Sandi, one of the co-owners of Prime Tourist Park. “Whether you’re a couple seeking a romantic retreat, or an individual looking for a peaceful escape, we provide a welcoming, relaxing experience with a focus on old-fashioned, friendly service and the highest standards of cleanliness – all at a reasonable cost.”
Prime Tourist Park is located at 60 Myer Street, Lakes Entrance. To learn more or to book a stay, visit the Prime Tourist Park website.
