Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, was seen nearly running over a dog at Windsor before bursting out in laughter as the owner chased his pet. The 64-year-old seemed ‘relaxed', even as a new Netflix drama ‘Scoop‘, which is based on his 2019 BBC Newsnight interview about Jeffrey Epstein, dropped on Friday. Several media outlets published images of Andrew, as he drove his Range Rover on the Long Walk on Saturday.
Visuals showed that Andrew almost ran over a pooch, which seemed lost. The Duke of York was alerted by walkers in the park. It appears as though the royal had not seen the animal and it was his bodyguard who noticed the reactions of people around. Luckily, the car did break in time and the dog was okay.
The owner, visibly embarassed, ran behind his pet as Andrew laughed at the scene. According to reports, a witness said there were a lot of people in the park due to a break from the rain.
“The Long Walk was crowded with people enjoying the warm weather,” they reportedly said. “Andrew's bodyguard saw the people frantically waving in the nick of time. Everyone was laughing when they saw who was driving the Range Rover.”
The Daily Mail and The Sun reported that Andrew seemed all relaxed. This comes as a new Netflix film, Scoop, based on his infamous interview on BBC Newsnight aired on Friday. The chat was the first time the Duke of York spoke in detail about his relationship with financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
