Pup That Wouldn’t Come Out Of Hiding Becomes An Entirely Different Dog

Putri, a hairless and emaciated dog, was found wandering near a temple, in dire need of help. It was clear that if she wasn’t rescued, she wouldn’t last much longer on the streets. Fortunately, she was caught in a net and taken to a veterinarian, where she stayed for almost two weeks. Although she was terrified of people, it was decided that she would heal best in a foster home. After being brought to a foster home with Kelly, Putri disappeared, and no one could find her. Eventually, Kelly discovered her hiding in some bushes, where she had been living for three weeks. Kelly felt guilty about leaving Putri in the bushes but the frightened dog refused to come out.

Kelly tirelessly worked to build trust with the terrified dog by offering her food. At first, Putri would only eat if Kelly didn’t look at her, but over time, she slowly started to trust her new friend. Kelly knew that Putri couldn’t live in the bushes forever, and she worried about how the dog would react to her other pets, who were full of excitement and energy. However, one morning, Kelly saw Putri on the other side of the yard with her dogs, her tail wagging happily. From that point on, almost every day brought a new milestone in Putri’s journey to trust and happiness.

Slowly, Putri began to come inside in the evenings to watch TV with Kelly and her other dogs. The first time she laid down with her stomach exposed, Kelly knew that Putri finally felt relaxed and safe. The biggest turning point for Putri, however, was when she started going for walks outside of the house. This helped her build confidence in herself and allowed her to explore the world.

Putri’s transformation was further aided by Kelly’s canines, who taught her how to be a dog. She would watch them and learn what was safe to do, even picking up some naughty habits along the way. With her newfound confidence and quirky personality, Putri now eagerly waits at the door for Kelly when she comes home and loves to be petted, scratched, and kissed.

The remarkable progress Putri has made since her rescue is a testament to the power of love, patience, and the healing potential of a safe, nurturing environment. From an emaciated, hairless dog terrified of people to a happy, trusting family pet, Putri’s story is an inspiration to us all.
