Kozhikode: A stray dog suspected of having rabies attacked 10 people, including a child playing in the yard, in Velliparamba, Kozhikode.
A young woman's wrist was badly bitten with deep wounds on her forearm.
The attack by a stray dog occurred around 11 am on Sunday in a radius of half a kilometer in and around Chinnan Nair Road in Velliparamba.
The dog, which attacked people standing in the yard and other places, ran away and could not be found.

Shakina (43) from Velliparamba Chinnan Nair Road, Ajitha (52) from Thazhe Edakandi, Pushpalatha (59) from Gopika House, Janaki (71) from Mele Kuzhiyil, Nandalal (30) and Amina Haya (13) from Thazhe Edakandi, sought treatment at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
Shakina's forearm was badly bitten.
The dog attacked Shakina, who had run to the spot after hearing a noise from near the chicken coop.

She was deeply injured.
