LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The 151st Kentucky Derby is less than a month away, and a local animal shelter is helping people get dressed for it.
Rescues on the Runway is a Derby-themed fashion show. The runway will feature rescue dogs on Sunday, April 13 at the Dillard's in Mall St. Matthews.
All proceeds will help Animal Care Society give rescue animals a second chance at a forever home.
“You'll get to see many dogs just like Buckle here walking the runway with some great fascinators, headwear and fashions from local boutiques like Mamili,” said Jason Wetherington, executive director of Animal Care Society.
There will be auctions, wine and spirit pulls, and a bourbon barrel thieving experience.
