ReTails Thrift Shop held their annual anniversary sale this past weekend with record sales. The Humane Society cat adoption event also was successful with several cats finding homes.
ReTails Thrift Shop held their annual anniversary sale this past weekend.
Proceeds from the sale go to The Humane Society of Statesboro-Bulloch County which helps with funding for TNR, spay/neuter programs, and other rescue needs.
Saturday, November 30, ReTails was full of customers searching for that special find. In addition to the sale, there were giveaways, and a blind draw at checkout allowing people to get a surprise percentage off. Percentages ranged from 5% off to one lucky winner of 100% percent off!
Kristy Garrigus, ReTails Manager said, “The sale was amazing! We had a huge turnout and officially had our highest sale day ever in the 13 years we have been open.”
The Humane Society also held a cat adoption event next door to ReTails at their adoption center. Garrigus shared that the “cat adoption event was a major success with 7 babies getting their forever home.”
“The cat rescue coordinator, Jessica, my staff and I were amazed by the turnout and the patience of our customers as they waited for checkout and to be able to see our adoptable pets,” she continued. “The community support was a blessing to our store and mission.”
Several cats at the adoption event are still looking for their forever home. Carmen (orange tabby), Yang (black and white), Bug (black and white), Grant (tabby), Jerry (gray and white), and Biscuit (mostly black) are still up for adoption.

- December 6th from 5-9pm: The Boro Chili Fest at 222 South Main Street, Statesboro. All proceeds and donations benefit The Humane Society.

- December 7th, 3-6pm: Holiday Bingo at Eagle Creek Brewery at 106 Savannah Avenue, Statesboro ($25 per person; $10 for an extra set)
