RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) — On Feb. 22, 2022, Jordan Morgan was killed in a home invasion.
Loved ones came together on Thursday to remember the impact she had on everyone she met for a dog park dedication in her honor.
Right behind Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Foster Realtors in Richmond is a dog park now dedicated to Jordan Morgan.
Friends, family, and pets came to remember the good times they had with her. Her father, Wesley Morgan, was moved to see how many people came out.
“The emotions are very, very thick,” Wesley said. “It’s hard to hold back the tears, but we’re so appreciative that everybody would think enough of Jordan to come out and celebrate her memory.”

The dog park represents Jordan’s love for dogs, with her dog Gucci also at the dedication.
Amanda Marcum spent a lot of time with Jordan, which is why she’s glad to play a part in remembering her.
“She deserves so much more,” Marcum said. “It was a small thing that I could do that to me shows as much honor that I could muster up. The best way I could find to honor her in a small way, but I know it’s been impactful to her parents and family.”
When Gucci and his friends play in the dog park, they’ll get the chance to remember Jordan too.
“We love dogs, and I know that she’s very happy looking down on us,” Marcum said.
It’s the hardest thing to face as a parent, but her father said Thursday will always be a reminder that his daughter lives on in the hearts of others.
“It will never be over for me until my death. My death is the only thing that will ever bring me back home. I will see her in heaven because I know she’s in heaven. I’m ready to go anytime and meet up with her in heaven,” Wesley said.
