Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Bailey and Tosca are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!
Dog of the week: Bailey
Our Bailey is a true trooper and has experienced almost unimaginable trauma. Initially arriving at the shelter in 2015, Bailey was seized by RSPCA ACT Inspectors. After thorough vet care from our team, which he desperately required, Bailey went on to stay at the shelter for 274 days before being adopted.
Bailey has since returned to the shelter through no fault of his own, and this beautiful boy hopes to find a safe place to call home. Our Bailey’s story is not completely clear, but this sweet boy has had continuous change over the course of his life and would now appreciate a loving family along with some routine.
If only Bailey could talk, you could imagine the stories he’d have to tell. This sweet boy knows the upheavals and uncertainty life can present and now deserves some loving stability.
Beautiful Bailey needs his forever home, somewhere for him to rest his head, with an owner who will love him unconditionally.
Cat of the week: Tosca
Tosca was brought to the shelter after his owner tragically passed away and is ready to find a home filled with love and kindness. Tosca has had a troubled past and is looking for an experienced home that can offer a stable and loving environment.
Tosca has great intentions when it comes to people; he loves to chat with you, he’ll rub against your legs, roll around on the ground, and he loves the occasional head and chin scratch. He can get overwhelmed sometimes, though, and will require a patient and loving owner who can stay by his side for every mood.
Tosca absolutely loves having safe outdoor access and being in the fresh outdoor air, so he will need a home where he will be able to venture outside in a secure cat run when he pleases. Tosca loves to play and, most importantly, he loves other cats, even if they don’t love him back.
Tosca needs to have a confident young cat in his new home who will be able to show him the ropes and also be able to teach him some more manners. With time and patience, we know that Tosca can learn to trust his new family, as he is now quite comfortable with the staff in the Cattery. He is very sweet and quite polite, and we can’t wait to see him find his forever home.
