Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Buck and Mr King are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the Week: Buck

This week’s edition of Pets of the Week is all about love and animals who adore affection. First, we have Buck. We refer to almost every dog as ‘The goodest boy’, but if we were to make a list and rank them all (as if we would ever do such a thing), Buck would be at the top. He’s the bestest goodest boy.

He’s nine years old and has clearly been loved throughout his life because he’s kind, gentle and, most of all, affectionate. He’ll be happy to see you every time, whether you’ve been gone for five minutes or five hours.

His perfect home is in a quiet, calm house and he’d love a lap around the block. He’s not necessarily going to love rolling around with children; he’s more likely to want an older owner he can stand side-by-side with.

Buck would probably do well with an existing dog, too, but he can be picky, so we’d want them to meet each other before adoption. If you’re looking for a good boy, come and adopt the best.

Cat of the Week: Mr King

Continuing our focus on affectionate, feel-good animals, Mr King here is the feline version of Buck. He’d literally thrive in a home where the attention is all on him. All of the time. Please don’t stop!

For this reason, Mr King would do well with a family, including children who can spoil him. He’s gentle by nature, and as long as you give him a little time to adjust, this is the perfect, affectionate family cat you’ll love.

He’s an indoor cat who’ll snuggle up to you and make you feel his purr. We’re sure he’d also adjust to living with other pets as well, but as usual, we’d need them to meet and take it slowly at first.

Come and visit Mr King. He’s only two years old and will be the perfect addition to any family.

Pawnotes: Our adorable Kelpie puppy Delta, who appeared in this article last week, was adopted! Keep checking our website and social media channels for the latest pets available for adoption.
