Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Chappie and Apple are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!
Chappie the American bulldog
Here’s a genuine opportunity to adopt a new best friend who has spades of character and can light up a household with his charm.
He’s already what you’d call a great pet. Loves a bit of attention, will follow your lead and can be walked easily, loves his toys and food.
Chappie came to us as a stray boy, but he’s clearly had some training because he takes directions and responds well to food-motivated commands. He guards his toys, too, which is adorable. Don’t worry, he won’t snap at you if you try to take one, just know that they’re his, not yours!
Chappie needs a family now. He’ll need to be housetrained, but again, we’ve seen how quick he is to learn things. Come and visit Chappie – you’ll love him!
Apple the Mini Lop
Apple is the sweetest thing, and you’ll love her. She’s what we call a ‘twilight’ adoption. She’s nearly seven years old and needs to be loved as she enjoys the later years of her life.
She’s just adorable. She’s housetrained, cuddly and loves a good scratch behind the ear. Getting picked up isn’t her thing, but if you want an indoor companion to hang out with and relax, this girl is perfect for you.
Ideally, we’d like to see a family who’ve previously owned a rabbit adopt Apple. Having an existing pet might be too much for her as well. She’s on medication for arthritis but loves the flavour, so it’s easy.
Come and visit Apple. She’s a sweet older girl who deserves to spend her twilight years in a warm home, not our shelter.
Pawnote: We have a special, bittersweet birthday this week for last week’s Dog of the Week, Choppa. He turned one! Bittersweet because he was born here, and we hoped he’d be adopted by now. Could Choppa become the newest member of your family?
Visit RSPCA ACT at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
