Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Dozy and Dandelion are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the Week: Dozy

This is Dozy, the extra-large female Great Dane/Bull Arab who’s looking for someone to love her! As with the Great Dane breed, she’s truly a big girl, but we think she needs to be this big to carry her big, beautiful heart.

Dozy doesn’t wag her tail when you approach her – she wags her entire body. She’s up in your face, wanting attention all of the time. She even gets sooky if you leave her behind … as if you ever could.

We think Dozy would do well with another large dog. She’s only just over a year old and is basically still a puppy. She’ll benefit from some separation training, but we think she’ll respond really well. Of course, our staff will give you all of the advice to help.

We recommend a family with no small children, not because of Dozy’s temperament but simply because of her size! Come and visit this beautiful girl; you’ll love her.

Rabbit of the Week: Dandelion

This is one of the fluffiest, softest and sweetest pets you can ever have. Young Dandelion is just over a year old and is a confident little bunny.

She’s already improved a lot in her brief time at our shelter, transforming from a timid girl who wasn’t sure about people into a little Velcro shadow; she’ll follow you around and wants to be in on whatever you’re doing.

Dandelion is used to living inside, which would suffice again, but it’d be great to see her enjoy an indoor/outdoor hutch where she could get the best of both worlds.

She’s a gentle darling who’d also be quite comfortable with your existing rabbit, or perhaps you’d care to adopt her with one of her offspring, of which there are five.

Pawnote: Our two stunning Sun Conjures who appeared in this article last week now have a new home and are dazzling their new owners. Thanks for spreading the word about our marvellous pets.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
