Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Sarge and Trixie are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the week: Sarge
Sweet senior Sarge came to the shelter in extremely poor condition. He was so emaciated you could count every bone in this poor boy’s body. After extensive treatment from our dedicated vet clinic and around-the-clock care from our Kennels team, this beautiful boy has finally bounced back and is now looking for his forever home.
Sarge is highly alert and will make for a protective dog who will be a truly loving and loyal companion. Masked under his tough exterior is a big sweetheart who wants to settle with a new family where he can stay and be loved for his remaining time.
Sarge really loves his pats, walks and treats. He’s a social dog who responds well to rewards-based training. He has received basic training throughout his life and is a polite boy who will learn fast.
While he has lived with another dog many moons ago, Sarge would benefit from being an only pet with fewer challenges and happily being the apple of your eye.
Cat of the week: Trixie
It’s senior September, and this lovely older lady now finds herself searching for her forever home in the final years of her life. Trixie has previously been extremely well-loved and cared for and is looking to go home to a dedicated family to care for her through her few remaining years.
Trixie is in great condition for her age and still has a young spirit at heart. Trixie is extremely affectionate and absolutely loves having all attention and affection focused on her. She also enjoys being groomed (she loves the brush!) and would love nothing more than to relax on the couch or the bed while you dote on her.
Trixie would suit a relaxed home and lifestyle without a lot of hustle and bustle; despite being OK with other animals, she definitely prefers to have her own space. Who can blame her? She’s earned it after 16 years!
Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
