RV Crashes in Idaho River With 2 People and Dog

Owning an RV is a must for many in Idaho. There are many great places to camp, and in the cooler months, with wild animals and weather, an RV is much safer than using a tent. Typically in the winter, many store their RVs at home or in a storage unit, and you don't see them out as often in January as you do in the three other seasons. With this winter being warmer, many have decided to keep them out and use them, taking advantage of the unusual season. Some live in their RVs, some travel in them, and others use them for camping. One couple and their pet recently drove their RV into a river in Idaho resulting in a scary situation for all involved.

RV Crashes into River in Idaho

On Wednesday, January 29, an RV with a man, a woman, and their dog crashed into the Portneuf River in Pocatello. The man, who was driving at the time, claims that the brakes failed, resulting in the RV driving through a guardrail and into the river. The incident occurred around 4:45 PM on Wednesday. Everyone in the motorhome survived the wreck, including the dog, resulting in a rescue mission.

The good news is that after the accident, the man, the woman, and their dog were rescued. The man and woman, who have yet to be identified to the public, were both injured but are expected to make a full recovery. The dog in the motorhome was unharmed, and as seen in the video above, was rescued from the motorhome, after a hole had to be cut into the top of the vehicle.
