(WETM) — Today’s Pet of the Week is a very good girl from the Hornell Area Humane Society.
Sadie is a 3-year-old mixed-breed dog who is very loving. Sadie came to the shelter after being in an animal cruelty situation. Sadie wasn’t allowed to go to a new home while the animal cruelty case was ongoing, and she has been at the shelter for more than a year. The other dogs that Sadie came to the shelter with have all gone to new homes, and this sweet baby is ready for it to finally be her turn.
The shelter staff describes Sadie as sweet, smart, and loyal. She can be a little shy at first, but after she warms up to people, Sadie turns into a lapdog and a cuddle bug who loves spending time with people. Other than snuggling, Sadie’s favorite activity is playing fetch. She loves chasing tennis balls while happily bouncing around and will actually bring the ball back to you. Sadie also enjoys going on walks and car rides.
Sadie can be selective when it comes to being around other dogs, but she does well with cats and children. If Sadie’s new home does have another dog, she would probably prefer for that dog to be a chill and easygoing male.
Sadie is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all of her vaccinations, so she’s all set to go home with a loving family. If you’d like to add this good girl to your household, you can stop by the Hornell Area Humane Society to meet her or call 607-324-1270.
