Are you looking for a new family member that will fit right in to any home or situation? Meet Sebastian. Sebastian is a handsome guy that's only two-years-old. He's fully vaccinated, dewormed, and protected against fleas and ticks. Unfortunately, even though Sebastian is still pretty young, he's contracted heartworms. Although he's heartworm positive, don't worry—WHS is covering his treatment until he tests negative.
Sebastian is truly something special. The staff raves about his temperament. He's a people-loving dude who gets along great with kids, dogs (he's their go-to for doggie introductions), and even seems to have a soft spot for cats. Is he the perfect dog? Sounds like it!

Sebastian has been at the Warrick Humane Society for 76 days now, making him one of their longest residents. Luckily for Sebastian WHS is a no-kill rescue. So, if you adopt from WHS, you save two lives – the pet you adopt and the one who gets pulled from a high-kill shelter.

Petting Zoos Within Driving Distance of the Tri-State
Anyone who knows me knows that I prefer animals over people most days. I tell my boyfriend all of the time that when we retire, I want a little plot of land with some cows, goats, pigs, chickens, and a whole lot of dogs. A girl can dream, right?
Sadly, since I can't have my own farm anytime soon, I guess I will settle for enjoying other people's animals, which means frequenting petting zoos and farms is pretty common for us. Luckily, I don't have to drive far to pet all the animals I can fit into a day.
From elephants to highland cattle to Clydesdales and a coatimundi, the tristate offers a wide variety of petting zoos that can be visited in a short day trip. Next thing you know, you'll be making your own list of animals to have on your own dream farm like me.
