A popular Punta Gorda dog park is set to reopen soon. The City of Punta Gorda, public works, parks and right-of-way departments took on making big renovations designed to improve the park's usability.The city says it is keeping pets and owners' comfort in mind. New sod has been laid throughout the park. They'll also install new shade structures soon.The park officially reopens on Friday, Feb. 7.
