SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Our featured lost dog turned up inside a local Walmart.
Shoppers were pretty surprised when the dog just strolled into the Walmart in the 1900 block of east Kearney and started walking around. When no one claimed her, they called animal control.
Shelter coordinator Josh Doss says, “she’s some sort of little Shepherd mix. We’re not certain what she’s mixed with but she’s a smaller dog than you would expect. She’s got a red gold kind of color to her. She might have some Heeler or something in her that is more predisposed to having that color but we’re not certain what she is.”
Josh says the dog is about three to four years old. She did have a black nylon collar on and was dragging a matching leash when she wandered into the store so she does have an owner somewhere.
She’s well taken care of, with clipped nails and a groomed coat. She’s also very sweet and well mannered.
If you recognize her, call animal control at 417-833-3592 or reach out to them online at the link below.
You can also submit any lost or found pets to the Leigh’s Lost and Found facebook page.
