Southwest residents can sign up to receive a special gift for a loved one or pet this Valentine's Day to support the Swift Current SPCA.
The SPCA is offering a plant with a box of chocolates to brighten someone's day or a basket full of unique pet toys, treats, and more, only available to order until February 2.
Bailey Berglund, fundraising manager at the Swift Current SPCA, noted that the funds raised from the Valentine's Day Fundraiser will support the animals currently living at the shelter.
“This year for our Valentine's Day Fundraiser we're doing four-inch plants and a box of chocolates, as well we're doing cat and dog baskets,” she explained. “Each basket has a variety of different things from food to treats to toys to bowls, no two baskets are the same.”
Pet baskets are $25 each while a plant and chocolates are $30 each, Berglund noted that people should be aware that the type of plant will vary.
Anyone interested in purchasing a gift for a special person or pet can head to the Swift Current SPCA's page on Facebook or Instagram to find the Google form to sign up before the deadline.
“On Valentine's Day itself, you can request for your basket or box of chocolate and plant to be delivered within the City of Swift Current limits,” she added.
