She shared the devastating news with her fans on Instagram, writing: “Our darling Teddy. Teddy became suddenly unwell on Thursday.
“It turns out he has a predisposed condition we had no idea about as he was a rescue.
“He has been operated on by incredible vets and the next 3-4 days are crucial for him to get through, even then, he might not ever fully recover.
“We are praying and hoping so hard that he pulls through & that we can care for him in the best way we possibly can to give him the best life he can have.
“We are all truly devastated. He is the sweetest, most protective, loving dog. He’s our family. And far too young to be going through this.
“We love you Ted. So so much. Pickle cottage is far too quiet without you. I miss my toilet buddy. Peanut is so sad without his best friend.”
The star was met with supportive comments from friends and fans. One wrote: “Poor ted hope he pulls through.”
A second commented: “Oh no sending so much love to you all #prayingforteddy,” while a third added: “Sending lots of love. Praying he is home with you all soon xxx.”
Stacey is close to her pets, and revealed how much Teddy meant to her after losing Theo.
When she announced his arrival at Pickle Cottage in 2022, she wrote: “Welcome Home Teddy.
” Last night we rescued a dog. But today I’m not sure who has rescued who.
“We miss you so much Theo. I hope you’re looking down from heaven smiling, knowing that peanut will no longer be so very lonely and that a doggy who really needed a family now has one. To the moon and back, always.”
She also melted the hearts of her followers by sharing a video of Peanut and Teddy visiting her late dog Theo's memorial patch in her garden.
She wrote: “This morning I took them both to see Theo and tell her all about it. I really believe she'd be happy to see peanut wagging his tail again and to know a doggy who needed it has a home with us.
“Welcome home little one… How anyone could not want you is just impossible to believe…But their loss is out HUGE Gain.
“Everything happens for a reason. We can't wait to love you forever and ever. To the moon and back.”
