A stray dog found emaciated along an Alabama highway has a new home with some famous owners.

On Instagram, Ivanka Trump shared she and her family had adopted a “big-hearted and goofy” German Sheperd-Lab mix from Big Dog Ranch Rescue.

“This little warrior puppy was found abandoned and emaciated alongside a highway in Alabama.
Simba joins Winter and Chester, another furry friend who recently joined the family.
Welcome to the crew, Simba!” the former first daughter wrote.

In her Instagram post, Ivanka Trump shows her children with a variety of pets, including a hamster.

Big Dog Ranch, the nation’s largest no-kill dog shelter, opened in Macon County in November 2022. It also operates a facility in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kuchner, and their three children live in Miami.
