THE terrifying moment a man was dragged into oncoming traffic during a ferocious dog attack has been caught on CCTV.
The horror unfolded as the man appeared to try to save his own beloved pet – holding a small black pooch above his head as the hound leapt at him.

He can be seen trying to fight the tan-coloured dog off off as it latches onto his arm, before ripping him to the ground.
The man can be seen struggling to get away from the dog after it dragged him onto the road.
As he manages to get back to his feet, a BMW hatchback mounts the kerb in what appears to be an attempt to mow the beast down.
Moments later, armed police swarmed the Sheffield street and the man was raced to hospital.
The terrifying attack unfolded yesterday around 5.40pm.
It comes after a spate of maulings across the country – including a tragedy where a 52-year-old man died when he was said to be protecting his elderly mum from XL Bullt dogs.
The death of Ian Price was the final straw for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who promised to ban the breed.
The type of the dog involved in yesterday's attack has not been disclosed.
The man is currently being treated for arm and chest injuries, which South Yorkshire Police said are not thought to be life threatening.
Chief Inspector Emma Cheney said: “We know these incidents will cause concern among those who live near the location, and for those who witnessed the incident this would have been upsetting.
“We want to reassure people the dog has been seized and removed while we carry out our enquiries and determine exactly what happened.Â
“All incidents of this nature are treated with the utmost diligence, and we will investigate thoroughly to ensure the community is kept safe.
“We would like to thank members of the public and medical staff who came to the aid of the victim, who has been taken to hospital for treatment at this time.”
