TEXARKANA, Texas – The city of Texarkana, Texas, hosted Bark at the Park at the Spring Lake Dog Park pavilion on Saturday morning.
The event offered free rabies vaccinations as well as free city registrations.
Dr. Beth Wheat of the Ark La Tex Animal Clinic also offered other vaccines for dogs and cats at a nominal fee.
Communications Manager Brooke Stone said, “We do this every year. We have about 350 shots total and last year we pretty much did all of those for dogs and cats. So, we expect to go through all of those this year as well. And we are just really happy to be able to offer this to our community.”
Several dog and cat owners said they were grateful for the annual Bark at the Park, which was free to anyone on both sides of the state line.
