Texas Driver Hits Building After Trying to Hit Dog

We live in an enlightened society where we've come to realize that dogs are truly our best friends. So its super weird to many of us pet owners and animal lovers when someone wants to do harm to a defenseless animal.

One such case that has everyone talking in East Texas this week, involves someone who police say caused damage to a local business and their own vehicle in a lame attempt to hurt a dog.

According to a social media post by the Titus County Sheriff's Office, during the early morning hours of November 26th, 2024, someone intentionally caused extensive damage to a commercial building located on the 2400 block of FM 2348 North, in Mount Pleasant.

Titus County Sheriff's Investigators reviewed video provided by building's owner and determined that a black Nissan 4 door with a low profile spoiler on the rear deck lid, pulled into the parking lot of the business and spent approximately 10 minutes in the parking lot before repositioning several times, intentionally ramming the vehicle up over a sidewalk and into the building causing damage to both the building and the vehicle.

Investigators have good reason to believe, the vehicle is a 2018-24 Nissan Altima. Investigators further have good reason to believe at the time of the collision, the driver was attempting to run over a dog that was walking along the front of the building but its unknown if the dog was actually hit or not.

While we hope the dog is somewhere okay, we don't wish the same for the driver. When Titus County put the word out about the incident in the media, folks from all over East Texas also put the word out and police provided an update just hours after it was first reported.

Thanks to numerous business owners and citizens on social media who shared the details, police located the car and evidence pertaining to the incident but added that their investigation is still ongoing.

Let this be a lesson to those who would want to do harm to others for no good reason: you can't escape karma.
