NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS — TFP Nutrition issued a voluntary recall Oct. 21 of its Retriever All Life Stages Mini Chunk Chicken Recipe Dry Dog Food due to possible contamination with Salmonella.
The recall only impacts TFP’s Retriever All Life Stages Mini Chunk Chicken Recipe Dry Dog Food formula in 50-lb bags, with production codes of 3277 TFP and 3278 TFP and a best by date of 10/2024.
The dog food was manufactured on Oct. 4 and 5, 2023, at TFP’s facility in Nacogdoches. The product was distributed in Arizona, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.
The recall was issued after a sample of the formula tested positive for Salmonella in a random test conducted by the Office of the Texas State Chemist. According to TFP, no dog or human illnesses have been reported regarding the recall and all affected product has been removed from store shelves.
