The Kanasín Ecological Police rescued a mixed-breed dog that had been locked up in an uninhabited home in the Jardines de San Pedro neighborhood on 21st Street.
Residents in the area, after several days of hearing the animal’s barking and crying, decided to go to the Ecological Police headquarters for help.
In response, they were asked to file a report for alleged animal abuse. Police officers subsequently entered the home, where they were able to rescue the black dog.
After the rescue, the pet was handed over to a group of veterinarians for medical evaluation. It was reported that, once its recovery process is complete, it will be available for adoption.
The Kanasín Ecological Police urged the public to report any similar cases of animal abuse to (999) 166 5779, where they will receive the appropriate attention.
