USA Today is asking readers to vote for their favorite dog park and three spots in Oregon are on the ballot.
Albany Dog Park in Albany, Independence Dog Park in Independence, and Minto-Brown Island Park in Salem are among the 20 dog parks nominated by a panel of experts that are now up for a reader vote. You can vote for your favorite dog park once every day until polls close at 9 a.m. PDT Monday, June 24.
USA Today likes the Albany and Independence parks because they have separate areas for large dogs and small ones. Minto-Brown Island Park was noted for its 30 acres of unenclosed off-leash dog area.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Minto-Brown is in second place behind Fiesta Island in San Diego.
There’s also one nominee from Washington on the ballot: Warren G. Magnuson Park in Seattle.
Dog parks aren’t the only things USA Today is putting up for a vote. You can also make your voice heard in their competitions for the best dog-friendly beach and the best pet-friendly hotel.
