Petland has come under fire lately by customers who have had issues with the dogs they bought there (”Petland stores are selling sick and dying dogs,” March 17). If they had researched the dog-breeding business, they probably would not have adopted (bought) a dog from them. Petland has had a history of complaints from customers who have had issues with their dogs shortly after adopting (buying) them, from sickness to death.
Even though there are some good dog breeders out there, I must question why? There are thousands of good dogs that are in shelters that need a home.
Do you really have to have the smartest, cutest child (dog) in the neighborhood? How about this: Go out and get a dog from a shelter and give those thousands of dollars to that shelter that cares for their animals. You will feel better and so will your new little buddy that will love you forever.
