ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WSBT) — The Humane Society of Saint Joseph County recently organized a free microchipping event for pets called the Michiana Microchip Clinic.
The event was part of the “No Place Like Home initiative”, aimed at promoting responsible pet ownership and enhancing pet safety in the community.
The offer was available for both cats and dogs.
“Every animal that is brought into our Humane Society is scanned for a microchip, and if they get microchipped, it makes it that much easier to reunite them with their owners,” said Sarah Stanton the Outreach Coordinator for the Humane Society.
The event ran from 10 AM to 12 PM or until the supply ran out.
