PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – Spaying and neutering your pets continues to be a hot topic, with animal overpopulation happening in Eastern Kentucky.
Getting your cat or dog fixed can prevent overpopulation and prevent infections and cancers for your pet.
Tony Vaughn actively works with animals and said spaying and neutering your pets is a protective way to help address overcrowding in shelters.
”Me and my wife were going to try to build our own Clinic just for low-cost spay neuter,” said Vaughn. “I really want to have our own Clinic because the state laws will be changing next year. It’ll be a lot stricter we’re going to have to have facility that will allow that to happen.”
Spaying and neutering an animal can also have a positive impact on their behavior, making them more affectionate and reducing their desire to wander.
