Theft rise warning by Ayrshire Drone Dog Rescue team

Ayrshire Drone Dog Rescue, a not-for-profit organisation, is urging owners to be cautious, especially when leaving pets tied up outside shops.

The organisation says it has had specific reports of concerns in West Kilbride and Stewarton.

A spokesperson said: “Dog theft is sadly on the rise, so we’re urging everyone to be extra cautious.

“Please don’t leave your dog tied up outside shops – it only takes seconds for someone to take them.

“We’ve received reports of concern specifically in the West Kilbride and Stewarton areas, so please stay vigilant and spread the word.”
