WHY do you want a dog? If your answer is because you need a dog to ward off petty thieves etc, that is not the right answer. A dog is a living, loving animal and is part of the family. It is not something you can throw away when you feel like it.

Although you may not allow your dog inside your home, spend time with it talk to it and create a strong bond between the two of you. Your dog will eventually understand what you are saying!

Take your dog for a walk every morning even if only for 15-20 minutes. You will see how happy your dog is to see you. It will be literally jumping with joy when it sees you, especially holding a leash because it knows it’s going for a walk with you.
