Imagine a fancy airline just for dogs and their owners. That is what Bark Air is all about—making sure your furry friend travels in style with you. With Bark Air, dogs are not just passengers, they’re VIPs. The service includes fluffy pillows, gourmet treats, and even dog-friendly champagne – all at 30,000 ft.
One of the most unique features of this airline is its spacious cabins where dogs, accompanied by their human companions, are free to roam and relax throughout the flight, reported Scripps News. Each passenger is equipped with earmuffs to dampen the noise of the engines and provided with a selection of beverages tailored to their tastes, including a special dog-friendly coffee.
Currently, Bark Air offers flights to a select few destinations including New York City, Los Angeles, and London. However, plans are already underway to expand its routes to include popular cities like Paris, Milan, Chicago, and Seattle, as well as seasonal destinations in Florida and Arizona.
Of course, luxury of this caliber comes at a price. Starting rates for a Bark Air flight begin at $6,000 (Rs 499,771), catering to those who spare no expense when it comes to ensuring their pet dogs travel in style.
The price did not sit well with social media users. One user said, “Hopefully it becomes more affordable so more pawrents will have access to it.” A second user wrote, “I don’t need a luxury experience. I need to be able to travel with my dog..” A third user wrote, “I’d prefer just an airline that allows dogs and owners only. Skip all the luxury stuff to lower the cost of flights and more routes throughout the states.”
