A husky dog has gone viral and has become an internet sensation. The canine, named Hakimi, works as a luggage carrier in a hotel in China’s Lijiang Old Town. Hakimi delivers tourists’ luggage to their homestay. It all started as a funny experiment, which has turned into a great business, bringing new guests to the homestay. The dog has earned Rs 23 lakh (USD 27,000) in just three days. Hakimi was raised by Xu, the owner of a homestay. Initially, the beautiful husky was just his pet dog. But suddenly, this unique talent of Hakimi came to light.

“When Hakimi came to our house, he was very energetic. In April last year, when I took him out to play and made him try to pull the trolley, I was surprised that he learned it immediately,” Xu told the South China Morning Post.

Learned The Work Quickly

Without any formal training, Hakimi learned the job quickly.

“In the beginning, he would sometimes turn over or bump into people, but he improved with practice. His skills have improved. Also, he rarely damages things at home. Probably because he spends his energy outside,” Xu said.

For Hakimi it’s a part of the game and he doesn’t find the work a burden. In fact, he enjoys it a lot. “Every time he pulls the trolley, he gets excited, as if he is going out to play,” Xu said.

Hakimi’s regular route is only 200 meters from the South Gate of Lijiang Old Town to the homestay. Xu told that on the request of guests Hakimi carries the things two to three times a day.

Millions Of Views On Social Media

Xu initially posted the videos online just for fun. But, the clips soon started grabbing people’s attention. And soon each video of Hakimi started getting ten million views.

At its peak, the doggo brought in 200,000 yuan in online revenue in just three days.

Hakimi has won the hearts of Chinese netizens. People on social media are praising the dog’s intelligence and playfulness.
