This PAHS Pet Of The Week Is Dexter

From PAHS

Prattville Alabama

We like BIG mutts and we can not lie!  Dexter Ford is a 7-month-old male Saint Bernard/Shepherd mix who will be neutered before adoption.  He is an owner turn in because his elderly owner could no longer take care of him.  Dexter Ford is magnificent!  His medium length coat is tan with white markings.  Dexter is a very large young dog at just 7 months–80 pounds.  He will weigh at least 100 pounds as an adult.  He is somewhat housetrained but does have accidents in the house.  Dexter is strong but sweet and gentle.  He is working on leash training but he is a “puller” when leash walking.  Dexter needs an owner who is willing to take up a lot of time with him; and understands he is a giant of a dog–and still a puppy at heart.

Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Your pet will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a spay/neuter certificate which will help with the cost of spay/neuter. Unless otherwise indicated under ‘special needs’ our dogs have screened heart worm negative.

PAHS is open 11-4 Monday thru Saturday. Please contact Prattville/Autauga Humane Society for most current information: 1009 Reuben Road, Prattville, AL – Phone: 334-358-2882 Email Address: adopt@prattvilleautaugahumane.org.
