The top comment said: “I'm a dog groomer. And this sounds like a name for a dog.”

As for the name in question, it’s inspired by a fruit.

You’ve heard of Clementine – it’s quite a popular, old fashioned moniker, and there are celebs called Peaches or famous kids called Apple.

But have you ever heard of someone called Tangerine?

The post read: “Fun middle names to come after Tangerine?

“Stole the idea for this post but Tangerine has been my dream name for a girl for years but like nothing I come up with works.

“And I love a lil spooky vibe,” the woman explained.

The most recurring comments were those referencing animals.

One said: “Ok this would be an ADORABLE name for an orange cat.”

Someone else added: “This was my childhood cats name.”

And a third chimed: “My dogs name is Tangerine…”

But perhaps it’s just an uncommon name?

Influencer reveals baby name planned for new arrival but fans quickly point out his very unfortunate nickname

A couple of people commented: “Knew a Tangerine. Went by Tangie. She never forgave her dipshit parents. Tragique.”

Another said: “I worked with a Tangerine, she went by Tange. Her sister was Quintina.”

There were several people who were vehemently against the name suggestion Tangerine.

One wrote: “That's the name for a pet, not a human, who will some day be an adult in an adult profession.”

My name is definitely not boring. I like to think it gives me an air of mystery.

But someone questioned: “I do get confused as to why Clementine is OK with everyone but not Tangerine?”

Lots of people, however, suggested some hilarious middle names that both fit the ‘spooky vibe’ the woman wanted, and compliment Tangerine as a first name.

“Killa. If it’s gonna be stupid, make it also kinda badass. Tangerine Killa,” one person remarked.

A second suggested: “Tangerine Scream.”

Someone else offered: “Tangerine Tombstone.”
