BRENTWOOD, TENN. — Rural lifestyle retailer Tractor Supply Company announced on Jan. 6 the launch of a new product format for its 4health line of premium dog food — Shreds. 4health Shreds is a crunchy kibble dog food blended with protein-packed “shreds” to deliver balanced nutrition and an appealing texture.
“Choosing a dog food is one of the most important decisions you make as a pet parent. Pet food needs to provide nutrition and energy, as well as a great taste that pets enjoy,” said Kyle Murphy, vice president and divisional merchandising manager, pets and services at Tractor Supply. “4health Shreds delivers a taste and texture dogs love, as well as the nutrition to support lean muscle development and active play, all at a great value. We’re excited to expand our exclusive brand portfolio with 4health Shreds as we focus on providing our customers with a unique and extensive assortment of quality pet products at an exceptional value.”
4health Shreds is formulated for adult dogs with immune-supporting antioxidants including zinc, selenium and vitamin E. The food is formulated with glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate to support joint health, as well as a blend of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids to support healthy skin and coat. Additionally, 4health Shreds food contains probiotics and natural prebiotic fiber to support healthy digestion.
Tractor Supply stores will offer three varieties of the food — Chicken & Rice, Beef & Rice and Lamb & Rice — with all containing real meat as the first ingredient, according to the company. 4health pet food is available exclusively at Tractor Supply and Petsense by Tractor Supply retail locations.
