The 51-year-old actress posted a series of photos and videos of Oliver, a German shepherd/beagle mix, expressing her devastation over the tragic event.
In the post, Harmon recounted the horrifying sequence of events, stating that the driver “got out of his car, delivered the food & THEN shot [their] dog.” She further explained that their ring camera, which could have potentially captured the incident, was charging inside the house, giving the delivery man an opportunity to commit the act without being recorded.
The actress expressed her grief, writing, “This Easter weekend a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot & killed our precious Oliver.” She also highlighted the fact that the driver was aware that he wasn't being recorded due to the inactive camera. The post was accompanied by a heart-wrenching image of Oliver, adding to the emotional impact of her words.
In response to the incident, an Instacart representative conveyed their deep sadness and disturbance upon hearing about the tragedy. They emphasized that the company has zero tolerance for any form of violence and immediately suspended the shopper account from their platform.
