SHOW SOME LOVE: Sometimes all your dog wants is attention from you.
And that costs nothing at all!
A game with a favourite toy, some relationship-building strokes or spending time with them in the garden is enough to make them happy.
GO GREEN: Using your dog’s daily food in fun ways is a great training exercise that won’t leave you out of pocket.
You could try scattering some of their normal dry food into a cardboard box or some clean and safe recycling, getting them to root through and find it.
This is a great confidence-boosting game as well as an easy way to entertain your pet inside on a rainy day.

But it’s really quick and easy to make some at home instead of choosing expensive store-bought snacks.
If you have a dehydrator, why not make your own chicken jerky or dried liver?
You can also do this in a very low heat oven.
Chop to the size you need and freeze in batches, ready for walks or training time.
If you eat tinned tuna in spring water, drain the water on to a lick mat and freeze, or use it to make an ice cube to give to dogs to enjoy as a treat in the garden.
