Upscale Augusta pet shop plans to nearly double in size

The Augusta location of an upscale pet-supply chain is getting bigger.

Hollywood Feed, 630 Crane Creek Dr., Suite 108, is seeking subcontractors to help with the renovation and expansion of the store into neighboring suites 106 and 107.

The expansion would give the store an extra 2,100 square feet for a total of 5,272 square feet, according to the plans. The additions will include more sales floor space and two dog-washing stations.

Hollywood Feed, named after Memphis' Hollywood Street, sells food and toys for dogs and cats, but primarily dogs. The Augusta location of the Tennessee-based pet-food store opened in October 2018.

Venture Construction Co. of Norcross is the plan-holder for bids.
