OLD FORGE, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A new veteran-owned women’s and children’s clothing store in Old Forge is giving back to both veterans and pets in need.
In honor of her late dog, Angel, Marine Corps veteran,Alexis Posluszny, founded Little Angel’s Closet.
The shop prides itself on keeping a consistently low cost on all clothing items and twenty-five percent of each sale goes to the nonprofit “Rescue Pets Serving Vets” which helps veterans adopt dogs for free.
Posluszny says she is ecstatic she has the opportunity to greatly help women, children, dogs and veterans.
“Being such a dog lover and being a veteran and knowing that I’m helping both and I’m also helping women that might not be able to afford to go into a big-box store and purchase a sweater or a Christmas dress or something because it might be ninety to a hundred dollars. They can come here and get it for ten to twelve dollars,” said Posluszny.
Little Angel’s Closet is located at 500 Bridge Street in Old Forge.
