Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee said he and his wife Brittany Furlan got quite the surprise earlier this week, as video shows a coyote grabbing one of their dogs and running away with the pup in its mouth.
In the footage, which was captured by a security camera outside their California home, Furlan chases after the coyote in hopes of rescuing the dog, Neena. She said she is relieved she ended up doing exactly that.
“Guys I was able to climb the wall after the coyote and grab Neena from it,”Furlan, who is a well-known podcaster and up-and-coming comedian, wrote in the comment section of the post, which Lee shared on Instagram Wednesday. “She is safe.”

Wearing a bathrobe, Furlan can be heard repeatedly screaming “no!!” as she sprints after the animals.
Lee, who joins her outside, is clearly shaken up.
“Oh, my God. A coyote grabbed Neena,” Furlan tells Lee as he yells an expletive in shock. “We can’t leave the dogs out,” Furlan added.
Fans and celebrities alike expressed concern and well-wishes to the couple and their pets.
“This is such a nightmare, such a nightmare, thank God everyone’s OK,” Motley Crue’s new guitarist, John 5, wrote.
Others said they were worried about the coyote population in the area.
“Man I’m so sorry this is brutal to watch. They are more aggressive than ever,” comedian Dane Cook wrote.”
In the post, Lee said the coyote grabbed the dog” in broad daylight.” He urged the public to “be very careful” with their pets.
“I’ve lived here for four years and I’ve never seen one coyote and then today this happened,” Lee noted. “They are desperate.”
Furlan later told fans she is “traumatized from the experience” but grateful herhe dachshund wasn’t hurt. She also said she is worried about the coyotes in the area, noting that “many people” told her their pets have been killed by coyotes.
“I am shocked to hear they are pulling dogs off of their leashes, and packs of them are killing larger dogs,” she wrote. “It seems nothing is safe. I fear for small children, as they don’t seem scared of us.”
She added that she hopes California Gov. Gavin Newsom “can proposed a plan to trap and relocate them away from suburbia.”
Meanwhile, Furlan’s fans are praising her for coming to her dog’s rescue.
“Dude!! You guys!! Holy shit @brittanyfurlan you’re a brave mama!! You are a f***ing badass lady,” one person wrote on Instagram.
