Meerut:Â In a commendable effort to promote animal health and raise awareness about rabies, Pet Vet Surgical Clinic, in collaboration with Bezubaaaann NGO, organised a free vaccination camp on the occasion of World Rabies Day. The event was graced by the presence of local MLA, Mr. Amit Agarwal, who inaugurated the camp by cutting the ribbon and extending his blessings to all attendees.
The camp saw a remarkable turnout, with over 120 dogs vaccinated, along with goats and cats receiving essential vaccinations. This initiative, provided entirely free of charge, aimed to enhance the health and well-being of pets within the community.
Commitment towards the well being of stray animals
Prominent figures at the event included Dr. Ashutosh Chaudhary from Pet Vet Surgical Clinic, and the founders of Bezwaban NGO- Miss Ramnashi Kaushik, Mr. Aditya Dhamma, and Mr. Vansh Garg. They were joined by dedicated volunteers, including Dr. Anurag Gupta, Yash Chaudhary, Siddharth Anand, and Shaurya Kaushik, all of whom played a crucial role in the camp’s success. Attendees praised the initiative as a vital step towards increasing awareness and safety against rabies.
Bezubaaaann NGO’s founder Ramnashi Kaushik informed News9live that they are committed towards the welfare of stray dogs, offering vaccinations, medical treatment, and rescue efforts for injured animals. Members of the organisation actively identify and assist sick or injured dogs on the streets, providing them with necessary care and shelter. Additionally, they conduct educational programs to promote responsible pet care within the community.

The camp served not only to protect animals but also to educate the public about the dangers of rabies, a serious disease that can be transmitted from animals to humans. The importance of timely vaccinations was emphasised throughout the event. Meanwhile. local residents expressed their gratitude for the free vaccinations, acknowledging the positive impact of the initiative. Due to the overwhelming success of this camp, the organisers plan to continue similar programs in the future.
