The only place in the world where you can pet and kiss a gray whale is in Baja, California. A tour operator called Nats Off the Grind takes travelers through the Baja Península from the border to Laguna Ojo de Liebre. There, you can catch gray whales as they migrate south from Alaska to the lagoons in Baja. One KSBW 8 viewer, Evan Brodsky, said that while the tour doesn't go with the intention of petting whales, it is OK to do so if one happens to get near enough to a tour boat.Per Exploration Vacation, this is the only place in the world where you can legally pet a gray whale.
