(New York, NY) — ER Doctors around the country agree that there are some things that cause people to hurt themselves. One ER physician told the NY Times that you shouldn’t slice an avocado in a hurry. Several doctors say avoid trampolines because there are hundreds of thousands of injuries from them including broken bones. They also say don’t pet a strange dog even if you’re a dog lover, because you never know what might trigger a dog to bite you.

In addition, don’t ignore sudden symptoms that come on, which include severe chest pain or your body going numb. Finally, don’t ride a bike or e-bike without a helmet. Doctors say using a helmet significantly reduces the risk of serious head injury.
