A main character in the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things” and the son of a rock ‘n' roll star adopted a dog in Naples over the weekend.
British actress Millie Bobby Brown, who plays “Eleven” on the show,” and partner Jake Bongiovi, visited a no-kill animal shelter.

The couple, who announced their engagement last April, stopped by the Humane Society Naples along Airport-Pulling Road.
Humane Society Naples announced Sunday morning that they pair visited Saturday.
“Thank you Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi for visiting our shelter yesterday!” the nonprofit said on Facebook.
“We are so excited to announce Shark left with this awesome pair to start a new journey with Millie’s rescue, @joeysfriends22.”
Bongiovi is the son of Jon Bon Jovi, whose group Bon Jovi entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
Why did the couple visit Naples
It's unclear in the Facebook post why they were in town but Brown loves animals and has many pets including dogs, cats, tortoises, a rabbit and even a donkey.
The 19-year-old British actress often posts about her pets on her Instagram that has more than 63 million followers.
She also posted in the last month photos from a white, sandy beach near mangroves but didn't name the location.
Brown's rescue, @joeysfriends22, has more than 30,000 followers on Instagram.
Brown since 2016 has co-starred on “Stranger Things” as Eleven, whose character has telepathic and psychokinetic abilities.
