Woof Gang determined to ‘paint Canada pink’

MIAMI — Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming announced the official opening of its first store in Ontario, Canada, on Feb. 7. The new pet store is located in Oakville and represents Woof Gang’s first step in its plan to “paint Canada pink.”

The new location is part of Woof Gang’s expansion into Canada, with the brand set to open five additional stores in the Greater Toronto area.

“The opening of the Oakville location marks a significant step in our larger plan to ‘paint Canada pink,’ and I’m particularly thrilled because, after my previous experience at Tim Hortons, I’ve personally witnessed the passion that franchise owners in Canada bring to their businesses,” said Ricardo Azevedo, chief executive officer of Woof Gang, who previously served as president of Tim Hortons USA.

“Woof Gang’s commitment to providing exclusive, gourmet treats and superior grooming services aligns perfectly with the dedication and care that I’ve seen in franchise owners in Canada,” he added. “We are not just opening a store; we are building a pet haven for the community, and I look forward to spreading love and joy to the pets of Oakville and beyond.”

According to Woof Gang, the Oakville store is “poised to become a hub for pet lovers seeking top-notch grooming services and premium treats.”

To celebrate the grand opening of the Oakville location, Woof Gang will give back to the community with a celebration in March. The event will feature raffles, giveaways, special prizes and an opportunity for free treats.

Leveraging its franchise structure and science and technology, Woof Gang aims to provide the best pet grooming experience, offer the most exquisite selection of gourmet treats, and foster a connection with pet communities.

To advance its Canada expansion, Woof Gang is currently seeking entrepreneurs with a passion for pets to join its franchise. According to the brand, 77% of Canadian households own at least one pet, representing over 28 million pets throughout the country. This underscores a thriving market for entrepreneurs and a significant opportunity for franchise owner, according to the brand.
