This weekend, Oklahomans near southwest Oklahoma will have a chance to find their very own perfect cuddle buddy! They're almost tailor made for being everything you need and want – all you have to do is adopt them.
Fishy's Friends Adoption Event This Weekend
Yes, you heard me right – you've got to adopt your cuddle buddy. This Saturday, January 11, Fishy's Friends Rescue is hosting an adoption event at Petco in Lawton, Oklahoma. They'll have several adoptable pets that are ready to become your next official cuddle buddy.
The event goes from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be inside the Petco, thanks to the incoming weather. When you come by, you'll have a chance to meet and possibly interact with some of their adoptable pups. Many of their animals are already fixed, vaccinated, socialized and ready to rock and roll at their next home.
What Does The Adoption Process Look Like With Fishy's?
Fishy's Rescue takes adoption seriously and wants to make sure that the family and the pet are a great fit together. Rather than allowing folks to make an impulse decision, they want adopters to know for sure that they're ready for a new family member. So, they do reiterate that your new pet won't be coming home on the same day as the adoption event.
According to the event details, “Adoptions are not same-day. Once you meet your potential new best friend, Fishy’s Friends Rescue has a 7-10 day adoption process to ensure the perfect match. This time allows you to prepare for your new family member and ensure everything is ready for their arrival.”

But, they have been able to make new adopters' lives a little bit easier with Petco. If you decide to adopt a pup that day, you'll receive a $300 coupon savings pack in your Petco Welcome Kit. You'll also have the opportunity to get a personalized shopping experience for your new pup.
